For at the tender age of just 15, Dianna was unable to graduate high school due to financial difficulties. In her efforts to be resourceful, she made a decision to enter into a relationship in hopes of bettering her financial situation. However, that choice led her back home, where she confronted the consequences, replan her life and sought new paths.

Her story took a positive turn when Camille’s Academy Inc. offered her a second chance at education. Dianna thrived at Camille’s Academy Inc., supported by the unwavering encouragement of the CEO, Ms. Camille Deokie Gorakh. Despite being older than her peers, Dianna excelled, ultimately becoming the 2017 valedictorian and securing sixteen subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams. Her academic success is a testament to the power of second chances and dedicated mentorship.

Today, Dianna Persaud is one of two Guyanese women awarded a prestigious scholarship by Noble Corporation to study oil and gas at the University of Massachusetts, USA. This fully paid four-year scholarship includes tuition, room and board, books, and travel, providing Dianna with the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Transportation and gain hands-on experience as an intern with the Noble family.

In addition to her academic achievements, Dianna was also our national finalist in the Miss World Guyana 2018 competition, showcasing her poise, grace, and commitment to making a positive impact. She also won the coveted talent challenge, further highlighting her multifaceted talents and determination.
