We have created some terms and conditions (the Rules) which set out the terms for you to follow as a young leader, role model and related public figure during your journey with us. These rules cover your social media footprint which currently spans comments on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google+ (the Community)instagram, snapchat, mobstar and other related social media profiles.
Please read the following Rules carefully, as they provide information about your social footprint and interaction in a way that is respectful and lawful. By submitting your application, you agree that you have read, understood, accept, and agree to abide by, these Rules.
The terms, conditions and policies that apply to specific social networks, also apply to Miss World Guyana profiles they host. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with those terms and conditions as we disclaim any liability associated with your use of those services, or for your failure to view or comply with their terms, conditions and policies. Where there is a conflict between these Rules and the terms and conditions of the relevant social media channels, the social media channel’s terms and conditions will prevail.
It is important for us to create an open, caring and respectful environment & relationship with those under and in our charge. We encourage direct communication as a well-desired resource to aid in succeeding in your journey towards the title of Miss World Guyana and beyond.
To help us do this, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions for the duration of 2 years, effectively on submission of this application.
You must:
Be professional, accurate and genuinely sincere about your image, the image and brands of Miss World/Miss World Guyana, and all its affiliates and sponsors/partners/contributors.
Know and support the judge’s decision as final and extend support to promote leadership, unity and good sportsmanship
Agree that social media posts entry public or private Screenshots related to emails, direct/group conversations, communications with our team. and or relating to other participants, our group of company/organisation, affiliates and partners/sponsors are STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Know that your family is a reflection of you and their responses and opinions could be interpreted as yours. As such, your family could be held liable and this could have a result impact on your journey/reign. If a member of your family makes any claims that we deem inappropriate and/or defamatory, unlawful, obscene, offensive, hateful, disrespectful, racial, abusive, inflammatory, threatening, invasive of anyone’s privacy, or otherwise objectionable OR promote discrimination on grounds of race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, being a transsexual person, or age; then you will ask to respond publically to distance yourself from their claims and/or opinion/s
Avoid quoting out-of-context material/work,etc and include credit for the original works/authors as the source of material
Comply with all applicable domestic, foreign and international laws that govern libel and other related types of content
Also agree that your posts will not:
be defamatory, unlawful, obscene, offensive, hateful, disrespectful, racial, abusive, inflammatory, threatening, invasive of anyone’s privacy, or otherwise objectionable
promote discrimination on grounds of race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, being a transsexual person, or age
infringe any intellectual property rights including copyright, design right, logo/branding rights, database right, patents, trade mark, moral or performer’s right or any other third party right
be likely to harass, upset, alarm or cause distress to any other applicant, semifinalist, finalist, or national winner/s regardless of the pageant system
contain an instruction, advice, or content that could cause harm or injury to individuals or to property or image/branding
encourage anyone to commit any unlawful or criminal act or condone any unlawful or illegal act including all of the above listed on your behalf
give the impression that Miss World Guyana and all its affiliates /partners,etc (or any of its group companies) if this is not the case, or impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person
contain advertising/promotion unapproved
Whenever you upload material to your posts do comply with those standards, and you indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.
We also have the right to seek immediate legal action and termination of your participation/reign if any material posted or uploaded by you to social media is defamatory of Miss World Guyana and its affiliates and sponsors/partners, and/or disparaging comments of any kind and/or a violation of intellectual property or privacy.
We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any materials posted by you or any other participant relating to Miss World Guyana. Any such claim will be your full responsibility on personal social media sites, or to make contact with others within our group, you must comply with these terms.
