INTERESTING FACTS:
I absolutely adore animals, and I appreciate their individual beauties greatly. I’m an international badminton player, and I love being involved in sports; in my tenure at Queen’s College, I was involved in 6 sports minimum at 1 time.
WHY SHOULD YOU BE THE NEXT MISS WORLD GUYANA?
I’m going into this with the intention of becoming a better version of myself, not solely with the intention of becoming the next Miss World Guyana, however, I think I’m a very strong young woman who would show the world that Guyana has much more to offer than they may perceive. I believe I would represent our country well. I also have a lot that I’d like to say and do, and this may give me the opportunity to do so.

CHARITY | One Act Foundation Strengthening the Mind & Body
For some time during my high school years, I personally dealt with a number of challenges which tore me down to a very unstable and dismal state. During this time, I found myself unmotivated to do anything, and thinking of ways out which were not the best. However, I turned to the use of sport to cope with my feelings. I used sport as an outlet to exert pressure I’d been holding up, and I used it to the fullest extent. It slowly allowed me to become more sociable, more motivated and less angry. I was no longer looking for an escape from everything, because I had found it in being involved in activities.
My campaign will aim to reach out to individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, etc. and suicidal thoughts – stemming from various origins and will aim to help them cope via participation in sport. Depression and mental illness is something that is very hidden in societies; it is somewhat a taboo topic. I intend for it to give victims an outlet via which they may be able to better cope, and eventually recover from the illness. I would hope it teaches them, like it did me, how to turn things around and take control.
