Ashmini Navina Ramnauth received her Master’s in Health Services Management, MBA Honor for Best Outstanding Student for Graduate Studies from Mercy University.

Ashmini Navina Ramnauth is more than just a scholar; she’s a trailblazer who continues to make a difference in the world. After migrating to the United States of America, Ashmini attended York College and worked as a medical assistant and patient care assistant. The Biology major completed her coursework in fall 2021 but qualified to participate as a graduate in the Commencement Ceremonies in the Class of 2022. Ashmini applied to three medical schools: St. Georges University School of Medicine, Antigua America School of Medicine, and Ross University School of Medicine, and got into all three but ended up settling for Mercy University in New York, where she now holds her master’s.

To maintain balance and keep any anxiety at bay, Ashmini practices yoga and meditation. She enjoys dancing, attending the Mandir, reading, and spending time with her family.

Ashmini’s talents and ambitions extend beyond the classroom. She is a former Miss India Guyana First Princess 2017 and Miss World Guyana Top Model 2016. Using her titles to raise awareness of social issues in her local societies, Ashmini has always been a beacon of positivity and change.
